Mumbai, March 5: Actor Sanjay Kapoor’s upcoming socio-political thriller web series ‘Sankalp’ is set to stream on OTT platforms. On Thursday, the makers released the trailer, generating significant excitement among fans.
The series will be available on Amazon MX Player. Sanjay Kapoor shared the trailer on his official Instagram account, stating, “The guru taught, the disciple adopted. Now, ‘Sankalp’ will demand its price. The trailer for the film has been released.”
Renowned filmmaker Prakash Jha, known for hit projects like ‘Aashram’, ‘Raajneeti’, and ‘Gangaajal’, is bringing a political drama with ‘Sankalp’. The series explores themes of power, revenge, ideology, politics, corruption, and the intricacies of bureaucracy.
The 2-minute and 2-second trailer is intense and captivating. It effectively portrays themes of vengeance in Bihar’s politics, the guru-disciple relationship, and the struggle for power. The series revolves around power struggles, political maneuvers, and bureaucratic challenges.
Based on strategies reminiscent of Chanakya and Chandragupta, the web series features Nana Patekar as ‘Master Sahab’, a commanding strategist whose presence dominates every scene. He runs a school where he teaches girls and prepares youth for UPSC exams. Sanjay Kapoor plays a politician, while Neeraj Kabi appears as his ideological rival, hinting at the tension leading to an impending power struggle.
Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub portrays a loyal disciple whose devotion to ‘Master Sahab’ runs deeper than mere loyalty. Kubbra Sait and Kranti Prakash Jha also play significant roles.
