Sandipa Dhar Transforms Her Perspective with Neena Guptas Wisdom on the Set of Chumbak

Mumbai, March 20: In the film industry, there is no guaranteed formula for success. It is often unpredictable when a particular project might change an artist’s fortune. Veteran actors frequently advise newcomers to keep working diligently and trust their craft. Actress Sandipa Dhar recently shared an experience that reshaped her outlook.

This experience occurred during the filming of her new web series, ‘Chumbak,’ where she met the esteemed actress Neena Gupta.

Reflecting on their memorable encounter, Sandipa Dhar recalled, “Neena Gupta often tells me about a short film she did called ‘Student.’ At that time, no one could have predicted that it would lead to new opportunities for her. However, that very project eventually opened doors for her in the successful film ‘Badhaai Ho.’” She emphasizes that one can never predict which film will be seen by whom and where. As an actor, the key is to keep working and producing quality work so that someone might notice and consider you for another project.

Sandipa acknowledged that while this advice sounds simple, maintaining it in life is challenging. However, it is a crucial mantra for success that one must understand.

Neena Gupta faced significant struggles before establishing her identity in the industry. She made her Bollywood debut in 1982 with the film ‘Saath-Saath.’ Over the years, she left her mark in films like ‘Mandi,’ ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro,’ ‘Trikal,’ and ‘Gandhi.’ She also gained fame on television in the 1990s with shows like ‘Saas’ (1999) and ‘Siski’ and hosted the quiz show ‘Kamzor Kadi Kaun.’ Her career reached new heights with her role in ‘Badhaai Ho’ (2018), for which she won the Filmfare Critics Award. Following that, she took on significant roles in ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan,’ ‘Uunchai,’ and the web series ‘Panchayat.’

As for Sandipa Dhar, she was recently seen in the film ‘Do Deewane Sahar Mein,’ starring Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi, where she captivated audiences with her performance. Now, she is working alongside Neena Gupta for the first time in ‘Chumbak.’ While details about the series remain scarce, fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
