Samsung to Make AI an Everyday Companion Across All Products

Las Vegas: Samsung Electronics has announced its plan to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) technology into all its products. The company aims to become an ‘AI companion’ that understands and supports people’s daily needs.

Samsung Electronics President Roh Tae-moon stated at an event in Las Vegas that the company wants customers to enjoy better and more useful experiences by using AI across all Samsung products and services.

The announcement came ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, one of the world’s largest technology events, which officially begins on Tuesday.

Roh Tae-moon emphasized that Samsung’s goal is to make AI simple and common in everyday life.

To support this vision, Samsung introduced a new AI platform called ‘Vision AI Companion,’ specifically designed for Samsung TVs. This platform will better understand users’ conversations and needs.

Samsung also revealed that its new 2026 TV models will feature HDR10 Plus Advanced technology, enhancing brightness, colour, and motion quality to offer a superior viewing experience.

The company shared details about its ‘Home Companion’ vision, aiming to simplify household tasks with AI-powered appliances.

These appliances will include screens, cameras, and voice recognition technology to better understand user requirements. Kim Chol-gi, head of Samsung’s Digital Appliances Business, said a strong and connected system will make this vision successful.

Samsung plans to incorporate AI technology into its smart home platform ‘SmartThings.’ This will enable different home devices to connect and work efficiently while understanding user needs.

Additionally, Samsung will use AI in its Samsung Health app. The app will collect data related to users’ sleep, diet, and daily activities to detect early signs of illnesses.

The Samsung Health app will offer exercise suggestions and healthy recipes based on fridge contents. Moreover, Samsung has developed new technology that monitors walking speed and finger movements to identify early indications of brain-related issues.

Roh Tae-moon concluded that Samsung’s products, services, and AI technology are designed to make daily life easier and better. He stressed that Samsung aims to be a trustworthy AI companion globally by using AI responsibly and correctly.
