Samsung Galaxy A07 5G Launched Quietly with Waterdrop Notch Display

Samsung has quietly introduced the Galaxy A07 5G, expanding its entry-level A-series with a new 5G-enabled smartphone. Following the launch of the Galaxy A07 4G in August last year, the latest model has been spotted in the Myanmar market, signaling Samsung’s continued focus on affordable 5G devices.

Display and Design Features

The Galaxy A07 5G features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD screen with HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels). It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers a peak brightness of 800 nits. The display incorporates a waterdrop notch design, which, while considered outdated in 2026, remains a staple in Samsung’s budget segment smartphones.

Performance and Software Support

Under the hood, the device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. Buyers can choose between 4GB or 6GB of RAM, paired with 128GB of internal storage. Storage is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card, and the phone includes dual physical SIM slots. The Galaxy A07 5G runs on Android 16 out of the box and promises long-term software support with six major Android version upgrades and regular security updates.

Camera, Battery, and Additional Features

The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, complemented by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is an 8-megapixel shooter designed for selfies. Video recording is limited to 1080p at 30fps. The phone houses a large 6,000mAh battery and features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It also comes with IP54-rated dust and water resistance, USB-C connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi, and 5G Sub-6 support.

Physically, the Galaxy A07 5G measures 167.4 x 77.4 x 8.2 mm and weighs 199 grams. Samsung is offering two variants in Myanmar: the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at ฿5,499 (approximately USD 176), and the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at ฿5,999 (approximately USD 193). The phone is available in Light Violet and Black colour options.
