Mumbai, May 27: The rollout of Samsung’s stable One UI 8.5 is gaining significant momentum, with updates now live for various Galaxy devices. The global rollout commenced on May 11, initially targeting premium models such as the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z TriFold. However, it quickly expanded to include more affordable models like the Galaxy A16.
Samsung dedicated five months to beta testing, a duration longer than usual, raising questions about potential delays for the upcoming One UI 9 release. Fortunately, the situation appears to be back on track, as the stable update has already been deployed to over a dozen Galaxy devices.
The Galaxy S25 series was the first to receive the update, with the Galaxy S25 Edge surprisingly getting it simultaneously, despite not being part of the beta program. Shortly after, mid-range devices began receiving the update, starting with the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36.
While some premium models are still awaiting the One UI 8.5 update, this has not hindered the rollout for mid-range and budget devices. In fact, the pace of the rollout has accelerated. This week alone, the One UI 8.5 update reached several A and M series phones, including the Galaxy M56, Galaxy A35, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy A16 5G.
