Mumbai, May 18: Actress Rubina Dilaik is known for openly sharing her views on various issues. Recently, she praised Neetu Kapoor’s return to films, expressing that she deeply relates to Neetu’s journey as a woman, mother, and working professional.
In a special conversation, Rubina commended Neetu Kapoor’s courage and resilience. She stated, “I can completely relate to Neetu Kapoor. Undoubtedly, she is a symbol of beauty and strength, and we have witnessed this over the years.”
Neetu Kapoor made her comeback to the film industry decades after the passing of her husband, Rishi Kapoor. Rubina responded to this by emphasizing that women should step forward in similar ways. She remarked, “Women should absolutely come forward, set an example, and pave the way for others who still doubt whether they should return to work after becoming mothers or facing life changes.”
Rubina also referenced Neetu’s statement about her return, which was not just about work but also to see if her confidence and courage remained intact after so many years in front of the camera. Rubina finds this incredibly inspiring.
Additionally, Rubina praised her husband, Abhinav Shukla, for taking care of their children at home, allowing her to pursue her dreams. She noted, “It takes a lot of courage for a man to set aside his ego and say, ‘I will stay home, you go and fulfill your dreams.’ Abhinav understands how much I love my work.”
She further explained that they are breaking societal norms and stereotypes. “We want to instill different values in our daughters. When people say men should behave this way or women should work like that, we say—enough is enough. We are breaking those constraints.”
Rubina emphasized that supporting each other is not easy, but one should never give up trying. This, she believes, is the true identity of a man. Rubina will soon be seen in the stunt-based reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi.’
