Batting first at Eden Gardens, the Caribbean team scored 195 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their 20 overs. Rovman Powell played a crucial role, scoring an unbeaten 34 runs off just 19 balls in the final overs, hitting 2 sixes and making history.
Rovman Powell has now become the leading six-hitter for the West Indies in T20 cricket. During his innings against India, he surpassed Nicholas Pooran’s record by hitting his 150th six. Pooran previously held the record with 149 sixes in the shortest format of the game.
