Mumbai, February 2: The Rohit Shetty firing incident outside his Juhu residence has taken a new turn with vital details emerging from the Mumbai Police. According to officials, Rohit Shetty was at home when the firing occurred, but he remained safe and unharmed.
The film director and producer was resting on the seventh floor of his building at the time of the shooting. The security guard initially thought the sound was from loud firecrackers. However, after reviewing CCTV footage, it became clear that unknown attackers had fired shots outside Shetty’s residence, spreading fear in the neighborhood. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The Mumbai Police took the matter seriously and immediately launched an investigation. Over 12 special teams from the crime branch were formed to probe the case. Forensic experts collected crucial evidence from the scene. Rohit Shetty gave his statement to the police on Saturday, assuring that he was safe and confident in the ongoing investigation.
Using CCTV footage, technical intelligence, and local sources, the police extended their investigation to Pune. Five suspects were detained there, and four have been arrested. The arrested individuals are identified as Aditya Gyaneshwar Gayaki (19), Siddharth Deepak (20), Samarth Shivasharan Pomaji (18), and Swapnil Bandu (23).
Following the incident, heavy police deployment has been made around Shetty’s Juhu residence. Security patrols have increased, and strict safety measures are in place as the investigation continues from multiple angles.
