Rohini Acharya Supports Changes in RJD, Urges Priority for Experienced Leaders

Patna, August 8: Political activities within the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) have intensified following the dissolution of all party committees across Bihar. Amid this organizational restructuring, Rohini Acharya, daughter of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, has welcomed the decision and advised party leader Tejashwi Yadav on forming a new organizational structure.

In a social media post from Singapore, Rohini stated that the decision to dissolve all organizational units and cells of the RJD should have been made much earlier. She urged party leadership to prioritize senior leaders, dedicated workers, and committed supporters of Lalu Prasad Yadav during the formation of new committees.

Rohini emphasized that Lalu Prasad Yadav has always worked for the social, economic, and political empowerment of marginalized communities, valuing party workers. She insisted that the RJD can only be strengthened by adhering to the ideals and organizational principles established by its founder.

In her post, she noted that the restructured organization should provide opportunities to leaders and workers who have served the party with loyalty and dedication for years. She also highlighted the importance of including grassroots leaders who possess a deep understanding of the organization.

This organizational reshuffle comes in the wake of RJD’s defeat in the recent Bankipur assembly by-election, which revealed internal rifts within the party. A public debate between RJD MLA Bhai Virendra and party spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav further fueled speculation about internal discord.

Previously, senior spokesperson Mritunjay Tiwari had also joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the by-election. On Thursday, RJD state president Mangni Lal Mandal announced the dissolution of all organizational units from the state level down to district, block, and panchayat committees, as well as all party cells.

This move is believed to have been taken under the directive of RJD’s executive president Tejashwi Yadav as part of the organizational restructuring. The party is now expected to initiate the process of forming new committees.
