Ayodhya, September 8 (Daily Kiran) : Retired Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra will officially take charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ram Temple Trust on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. His appointment follows a high-level meeting of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, where he was selected from over 5,000 candidates for this significant role.
The trust members praised Mishra’s distinguished service of over 39 years in the Indian Air Force, expressing confidence in his extensive leadership experience as he transitions from military command to institutional responsibilities.
Mishra, who was commissioned into the Indian Air Force on December 6, 1986, is a former National Defence Academy student. He notably served as a commander during Operation Sunder, a decisive response to the Pakistan-sponsored terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
As CEO, he will be responsible for streamlining and strengthening the temple’s administration and financial management. His key duties will include overseeing temple management, security, staff administration, facilities for devotees, and coordination among various departments and agencies.
Expressing gratitude for his new role, Mishra stated he feels fortunate to serve both the nation and the devotees of Lord Ram. He remarked, “My heart is filled with gratitude. I consider myself the luckiest person to have been entrusted with this responsibility twice in my life: once to serve the nation and now to serve Lord Ram, the temple, and its devotees through organization and administration.”
