According to the ministry, problems like stress, stiffness, poor digestion, and low energy accumulate in the body over time. Padahastasana is a simple yet powerful pose that helps alleviate these issues. Regular practice enhances flexibility, strengthens the digestive system, calms the mind, and relieves physical tension through deep forward bending.

Practicing Padahastasana improves blood circulation, energizing the entire body. This reduces fatigue and helps maintain a refreshed feeling throughout the day. The forward-bending posture stretches the muscles in the back, waist, and legs, easing stiffness. Additionally, it applies pressure to the abdominal organs, improving digestion and providing relief from constipation.

Experts suggest that Padahastasana not only enhances physical health but also strengthens the mind-body connection. Regular practice reduces mental stress, increases concentration, and improves sleep quality. This asana is particularly beneficial for individuals who sit for long periods or suffer from back pain.

To perform Padahastasana, stand with your feet together. Exhale and bend forward at the waist, attempting to place your hands near your feet on the ground.
