REGISTRATION OPEN FOR ZINC PRATIBHA ONLINE TALENT HUNT FOR INDIAN CLASSICAL & FOLK INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

Udaipur : Pandit ChaturLal Memorial Society in association with  Hindustan Zinc Limited is holding an Online Talent Hunt named ZINC PRATIBHA. This talent hunt is a unique platform that aims to encourage budding stalwarts of Indian classical and folk music— to renew the essence of and create awareness about dying and forgotten instruments of this genre.

The participation is free and the interested candidates above 5 years of age can register by sending their video entries. Registration has started and will close on 23rd February 2023.

After the registration, the candidates will go through the audition rounds to be held from 27th to 28th February 2023 by our panel of eminent judges; Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota, Tabla Maestro Pandit CharanjitChaturLal, and Kathak Guru Pandit Deepak Maharaj. This will be followed by an elimination round and later Semi-finals and Finals.

Sharing the views on conceptualising this virtual platform, Ms. Shruti Chatur Lal Sharma, granddaughter of the Tabla legend and the Artistic Director at Pandit Chaturlal Festival said, “Rajasthan has massive talent, and we need to provide them with a platform to showcase it. Pandit CharanjitChatur Lal, the founder of Pandit Chatur Lal Festival adds, ‘With the Zinc Pratibha talent hunt going virtual, I believe it will become easy for the artistes to participate from any corner of Rajasthan.

There is a huge excitement as we have renowned artists from the world of classical music and dance on board to judge the talents. It also gives me immense pleasure to share that the registration is completely free with giving special emphasis to dying instrument artistes. The winner of the talent hunt will be given an opportunity to perform at the prestigious Pandit Chatur Lal Festival in Udaipur.”
