Realme has officially announced that the much-awaited Realme GT 8 series will be launched on October 21 in China. The lineup will include two models — the Realme GT 8 and the Realme GT 8 Pro — both powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8-series chipsets.

The Realme GT 8 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, positioning it as a strong competitor to flagship phones like the OnePlus 15, iQOO 15, and Redmi K90 Pro. The device will also include a dedicated R1 graphics chip to deliver an enhanced gaming experience.
A key highlight of the GT 8 Pro is Realme’s collaboration with renowned camera maker Ricoh. This partnership introduces five Ricoh GR-inspired color profiles — Positive Film, Negative Film, High Contrast Black & White, Standard, and Black & White — for improved photographic performance.
The phone will feature a flat OLED 2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 7,000mAh+ battery, and support for 120W fast charging along with wireless charging. Other expected features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, a metal middle frame, dual speakers, and an X-axis linear motor for enhanced haptic feedback.
The standard Realme GT 8 is likely to sport a 6.6-inch display and a 7,000mAh battery, also powered by a Snapdragon 8-series chipset. It may include similar design elements and Ricoh GR color optimisations as the Pro model.
