After losing the toss at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB opened their innings with a strong partnership between Phil Salt and Virat Kohli, who collectively scored 37 runs in just 4.3 overs. Kohli contributed 28 runs off 18 balls, hitting three boundaries before being dismissed.

Following Kohli’s exit, Salt teamed up with Devdutt Padikkal for a second-wicket partnership, adding 56 runs in 37 balls. In 2024, RCB also scored 262/7 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Other notable scores include 248/3 against Gujarat Lions in 2016 and 241/7 against Punjab Kings in 2024.
