RCB Aims for Qualifier 1 Victory Against SRH in IPL 2026 Showdown

Hyderabad, May 21: The 67th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is set to take place at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium today, featuring a clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Both teams have already secured their spots in the playoffs, but they aim to strengthen their positions in the points table with a win today.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has won 8 out of 13 matches this season, currently holding the third position in the points table with 16 points. In contrast, Royal Challengers Bengaluru has triumphed in 9 of their 13 matches, leading the table with 18 points.

A victory for SRH would ensure their place in the top two, while RCB, if victorious, would secure their position as the number one team heading into Qualifier 1.

RCB started the season strong, winning 6 out of their first 8 matches. However, they faced back-to-back losses in the following two games. They will enter this match against SRH on the back of three consecutive wins.

On the other hand, SRH had a rocky start, losing 3 out of their first 4 matches. They managed to bounce back with five consecutive victories, although they have only won 2 of their last four matches.

Historically, RCB and SRH have faced each other 27 times in the IPL, with SRH holding a slight edge. SRH has won 14 matches, while RCB has claimed 12 victories, with one match ending in a no result.

The last encounter between these two teams in IPL 2026 saw RCB defeating SRH by 6 wickets at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
