Raipur, May 12: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 57th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Wednesday. The match will take place at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium.
Current champions RCB are at the top of the table with 14 points, having won 7 out of 11 matches this season. They have managed to secure victory in only 1 of their last 3 games. However, a recent win against Mumbai Indians by 2 wickets has boosted the team’s morale. KKR, currently leading the points table, aims to secure a playoff spot with a win in this match. A victory for RCB would almost guarantee their place in the playoffs.
On the other hand, KKR struggled in the early part of the season, failing to win any of their first six matches. After a tough start, KKR made a strong comeback with four consecutive wins and is now a strong contender for a top-four finish. They currently hold the eighth position in the points table with 9 points from 10 matches, having won 4.
In IPL history, RCB and KKR have faced each other 36 times, with KKR holding the upper hand. The Knight Riders have won 20 matches, while RCB has claimed victory in 15, with one match ending in no result.
