Mumbai, July 29: Actor Raza Murad recently met actress Poonam Dhillon and took to social media to reminisce about her early career. He highlighted how the film ‘Noori’ catapulted her to stardom overnight.
Murad shared a picture with Dhillon on Instagram, praising her for her role in ‘Noori’ as a simple village girl from Kashmir. He noted that her simplicity, beauty, and remarkable acting won the hearts of audiences nationwide.
He wrote, “Memorable moments with one of the most beautiful actresses in Hindi cinema, Poonam Dhillon.”
Reflecting on Dhillon’s career, he mentioned that after the release of ‘Noori,’ she became a beloved actress across the country. He stated, “After the film ‘Noori’ released in 1979, Poonam Dhillon became the favorite actress of the nation. She portrayed the character of an innocent village girl from Kashmir, and her simplicity, innocence, and natural beauty played a crucial role in the film’s success.”
He further added, “After the release of ‘Noori,’ Poonam Dhillon became an overnight star. The beautiful songs and music of the film also elevated its popularity. Farooq Sheikh and Bharat Kapoor delivered powerful performances that received much acclaim from the audience.”
