Rajat Patidar Praises Team Effort After RCBs Victory Over KKR

Raipur, May 14: In the 57th match of IPL 2026, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) triumphed over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by six wickets on Wednesday. RCB captain Rajat Patidar expressed his delight after the team’s eighth win of the season, stating that everyone is contributing significantly to the team’s success, which is a positive sign.

With this victory against KKR, RCB has reclaimed the top spot in the points table. Patidar remarked, “It feels great. You know you’ve played well in the tournament, and I believe everyone is playing a crucial role at different stages of the team’s victories, which is encouraging. Being at the top of the points table is always a good thing for the team.”

He also praised the bowlers’ performance, saying, “I am very satisfied with the bowlers’ performance. We controlled the innings excellently. After 10 overs, KKR’s run rate was around 10-11. Stopping them at 192 runs was a fantastic effort. This is a positive for us.”

Regarding Virat Kohli’s century, Patidar said, “Kohli’s innings was exceptional. I have no words to describe it, but he has a habit of delivering such powerful performances.”

On the injury update for Phil Salt, he mentioned, “I don’t know when he will return, but I believe he will be back soon. We have two more league matches, and we are focusing on one game at a time. We will head to Dharamshala next, where the pitch is favorable for batting. We will try our best to secure a win in that match and then against Sunrisers Hyderabad.”
