Rising Temperatures Across Rajasthan as Winter Fades

Jaipur, January 30 : The changing wind patterns in Rajasthan have led to a sharp rise in daytime temperatures, giving residents an early taste of summer in January. On January 29, Barmer recorded a scorching 34.4°C, marking one of the highest temperatures in the region. Several other cities, including Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Dungarpur, Bhilwara, and Chittorgarh, also witnessed temperatures hovering around 30°C, signaling a significant reduction in winter chills.

According to meteorological experts, this hot spell is expected to continue for the next two days, with cooler conditions likely to return from February 2-3 due to an approaching Western Disturbance.

In Jaipur, residents felt the heat throughout the day, with clear skies and intense sunshine dominating the weather.

Reduction in Nighttime Cold & Temperature Rise in Key Regions

As daytime temperatures rise, the cold wave that gripped Rajasthan during early January is gradually diminishing. Minimum nighttime temperatures have also increased, reducing the intensity of winter chills.

  • Bikaner, Churu, and Chittorgarh recorded a 4-5°C increase in minimum temperatures.
  • Baran, Fatehpur, and Mount Abu also saw a rise in mercury, providing relief from the harsh winter cold.

🔹 February 2-3: A Western Disturbance is expected to impact Rajasthan, bringing rainfall and thunderstorms to Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota, Bikaner, Bharatpur, and Ajmer divisions.

🔹 Temperature Drop Expected: Post-February 3, daytime temperatures may drop slightly, offering some relief from the ongoing heatwave.
