Jaipur, October 17 (Daily Kiran): The weather in Rajasthan has taken a cooler turn as night temperatures continue to drop across the state. In Sikar and Ajmer, the minimum temperature has fallen nearly five degrees Celsius below the seasonal average. On Thursday night, Sikar recorded a low of below 14°C, marking the coldest night of the season so far.

Cold winds blowing through the Shekhawati region have further increased the chill in the air.
According to weather experts, similar conditions are expected to persist for the next few days, with no major change in temperature likely.
While most cities across the state, including Jaipur, Bikaner, and Jodhpur, witnessed clear skies and bright sunshine during the day, the cold was felt distinctly at night. The minimum temperature in these regions was recorded below normal levels.
Due to the daytime sunshine, mild warmth prevailed across several parts of the state. As per the data released by the Meteorological Department, Barmer recorded the highest temperature at 36.9°C, followed by Jaisalmer at 36.3°C. Sikar remained the coldest, with a minimum of 13.6°C, while Pilani (Jhunjhunu) and Dausa recorded 15.7°C and 15.6°C respectively.
The department added that winter is gradually setting in across Rajasthan, and the chill during mornings and evenings is expected to intensify in the coming days.
