Rajasthan Heatwave Intensifies: Barmer Under Red Alert, Weather Relief Expected from April 11

Jaipur, April 8 Rajasthan is reeling under a severe heatwave as daytime and nighttime temperatures continue to soar. Several districts are witnessing temperatures above 45°C, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a Red Alert for Barmer, along with Orange Alerts in 6 districts and Yellow Alerts in 12 others.

Record Temperatures Across Rajasthan

Barmer and Jaisalmer have recorded maximum temperatures of 45.6°C and 45.4°C, respectively, both about 8°C above normal. Night temperatures are also unusually high, with Phalodi recording 28.8°C, and cities like Jodhpur and Udaipur experiencing minimums that did not drop below 26°C.
