Jaipur, April 8 Rajasthan is reeling under a severe heatwave as daytime and nighttime temperatures continue to soar. Several districts are witnessing temperatures above 45ยฐC, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a Red Alert for Barmer, along with Orange Alerts in 6 districts and Yellow Alerts in 12 others.
Record Temperatures Across Rajasthan
Barmer and Jaisalmer have recorded maximum temperatures of 45.6ยฐC and 45.4ยฐC, respectively, both about 8ยฐC above normal. Night temperatures are also unusually high, with Phalodi recording 28.8ยฐC, and cities like Jodhpur and Udaipur experiencing minimums that did not drop below 26ยฐC.
