Rain Likely in Most Districts of Jharkhand on April 19 and 20, Says IMD

Ranchi, April 17 The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall in several districts of Jharkhand on April 19 and 20, with a Yellow Alert issued for specific regions. The weather development is expected to bring a temporary respite from the rising heat across the state.

Rain Expected Across Jharkhand Western Districts Excluded

According to the latest IMD bulletin released Thursday, most parts of Jharkhand are likely to witness scattered showers over the weekend. However, western districts such as Palamu, Garhwa, Latehar, and Chatra are not expected to receive rainfall, and a Yellow Alert has been issued for these areas due to possible weather instability.

Thunderstorms and Strong Winds Forecasted on April 18

On April 18, northeastern, southeastern, and adjoining central districts may experience thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds ranging between 40-50 km/h, as per IMD’s advisory. A Yellow Alert is in place for affected areas, urging residents to take necessary precautions.
