Raipur, 21 August (Kiran News). Several districts of Chhattisgarh, including the capital Raipur, experienced rainfall on Wednesday, bringing much-needed relief from the heat. After heavy rainfall during the night, the weather has turned pleasant. Since Thursday morning, clouds have been hovering over Raipur. The Meteorological Department has also issued a rain alert for Raipur and many other districts in the state for Thursday.

According to weather experts, the low-pressure area over Chhattisgarh and eastern Madhya Pradesh weakened on Wednesday morning. However, the region of southeastern Madhya Pradesh and its surroundings are still affected by cyclonic conditions.
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for strong winds and lightning in the districts of Dhamtari, Gariaband, Mahasamund, Balodabazar, Janjgir-Champa, Raigarh, Bilaspur, Korba, Jashpur, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Mungeli, Surguja, Surajpur, Korea, and Balrampur. Additionally, a heavy rainfall alert has been issued for Raipur, Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Balod, Balrampur, Ramanujganj, Korea, Surajpur, Surguja, Bastar, Dantewada, and Bijapur, among several other areas. After the heavy rainfall on Wednesday night, the weather remains pleasant, with clouds covering Raipur since Thursday morning.
