Mumbai, May 1: Actress Raima Sen’s Bengali drama-mystery film ‘Phool Pishi O Edward’ is set to hit theaters soon. On Friday, Raima expressed her excitement about collaborating with directors Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee through an Instagram post.
Raima shared behind-the-scenes photos from the film on her Instagram account. She revealed that when she was approached for this project after 25 years, she immediately agreed. Raima noted, “I had no idea what the shooting experience would be like. I had heard that director Nandita Roy was quite strict, but my perception changed completely after meeting her.”
Reflecting on her experience working with Nandita and Shiboprasad, Raima said, “Nandita is like a mother. She is very calm, loving, and kind. She took great care of me on set. Shiboprasad Mukherjee is also a very cool and relaxed director. Working with him is incredibly easy.”
Raima mentioned that the team’s synergy was so remarkable that she never felt tired despite the long shooting hours. She expressed her hope to collaborate with this team again in the future. Raima announced, “The film ‘Phool Pishi O Edward’ will be released in your nearest theaters on May 29.”
‘Phool Pishi O Edward’ marks the 25th Bengali mystery-drama film by the renowned director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee. The film revolves around a love triangle and emotional secrets, with music composed by Joy Sarkar and lyrics by Shrijato.
The film is produced by Windows Productions and written by Jiniya Sen. Alongside Raima Sen, the cast includes Sohini Sengupta, Arjun Chakraborty, Shaheb Chattopadhyay, Rajatava Dutta, Ananya Chatterjee, Koneenika Banerjee, Shyamoupti Muduli, Rishav Basu, and Soumya Mukherjee in pivotal roles.
