Rahul Sinha Critiques Mamata Banerjees Political Shift in West Bengal

BJP MP Rahul Sinha comments on Mamata Banerjees changing political alliances amid claims of her contacting former opponents.

Kolkata, September 26 (Daily Kiran) : BJP MP Rahul Sinha has sharply criticized former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, suggesting that she is now reaching out to those she once opposed. His remarks come amid reports of a phone conversation between Banerjee and CPI(M) General Secretary MA Baby regarding the SIR issue.

Speaking to the media in Kolkata, Sinha stated that Banerjee’s political relevance has diminished, forcing her to seek alliances with former critics. He claimed she would turn to Congress and CPI(M), two parties she previously condemned. Sinha accused her of prioritizing personal political interests over consistent principles or ideologies.

In response to protests announced by Abhijit Dipke of the Cockroach People’s Party against the CEC, Sinha questioned Dipke’s credibility and capabilities, asserting that mere statements do not equate to action.

Regarding the upcoming municipal elections in Bengal, Sinha expressed confidence in the BJP’s preparedness and predicted a strong performance for the party.

On the topic of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Sinha emphasized that the organization’s growth is not contingent on any government. He noted that the RSS remained the world’s largest nationalist organization even when the BJP was out of power. He pointed out that the RSS had expanded significantly in West Bengal prior to the BJP’s rise, highlighting its commitment to promoting nationalist ideas and activities regardless of the ruling party. He concluded that while there were challenges in the past, the current environment is more favorable for the RSS’s mission to continue.
