New Delhi, May 2: Ajay Rai, the President of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee, is showing signs of improvement while being treated in a private hospital in Lucknow. Currently, he remains in the ICU. Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, has expressed his hopes for Rai’s swift recovery.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Rahul Gandhi stated, “I am concerned about the news regarding Ajay Rai’s health. I wish him a speedy recovery. I hope he gets well soon and returns to serving the public with full strength.”
Congress General Secretary Avinash Pandey provided an update on Rai’s condition, saying, “His health is now stable and improving. I just arrived here and am heading to the hospital. With God’s grace, everything is fine.”
Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput also shared, “Ajay Rai’s health deteriorated suddenly last night. He was immediately admitted to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow, where he underwent an initial check-up and was shifted to the ICU. His condition is now stable and better. We pray to God for Ajay Bhai’s quick recovery.”
Congress leader Sachin Pilot also conveyed his wishes for Rai’s health, posting on ‘X’, “I have received news about Ajay Rai’s illness. I pray to God for his speedy recovery.”
Ajay Rai fell ill during an event on Friday, experiencing sudden chest pain, discomfort, and faintness, which led to his hospitalization. He is currently under the supervision of doctors.
