Indore, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, will visit Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on September 19. He is set to engage with young people during his ‘Students’ Echo’ program.
The event will take place at 5 PM near the Rajiv Gandhi Circle at the Bharat Jodo Maidan, according to Umang Singhar, the Leader of the Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly. Singhar shared on the social media platform X, “When hope fades from the system, the voice for change rises. Today, students from Indore will raise their voices. This marks a new beginning of hope and a new echo for change. Together, we will change the circumstances.”
It is noteworthy that the Congress party was denied permission to hold the event at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Indore. Consequently, the Madhya Pradesh Congress unit has secured a temporary lease for approximately 12,000 square meters of land in front of a regional park from September 17 to 19.
Additionally, the event will be broadcast live in Chhindwara, where former Chief Minister Kamal Nath announced that a large LED screen will be set up at the Rajiv Gandhi Private Bus Stand at 5 PM for local youth to watch the proceedings. He encouraged the public to join the event.
Earlier this week, Rahul Gandhi posted on X, stating, “I am coming to Indore on September 19 to meet students, listen to your concerns, and engage in dialogue. If you or your loved ones are suffering due to the education system and want change, remember—’Students’ Echo’ is your collective voice, a chance to initiate change.”
Gandhi has previously held ‘Students’ Echo’ events in Kota, Dehradun, Prayagraj, and Pune, with a special program for female students in Pune on August 22.
