Rudrapur, May 4: Acharya Pramod Krishnam has launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha. He stated that the public has not accepted Rahul Gandhi as a ‘Gandhi’.
In a conversation, Acharya Pramod Krishnam remarked, “Given the current political climate and the series of electoral defeats, it seems the public has not embraced Rahul Gandhi as a ‘Gandhi’. This is significant. The people of this country have never abandoned Mahatma Gandhi. Regardless of the circumstances, the nation has remained connected to Gandhi’s legacy since independence. However, the public is not supporting Rahul Gandhi.”
He further suggested that following the results of the West Bengal elections, the opposition might remove him from the position of leader of the Lok Sabha. “Therefore, I believe Rahul Gandhi should consider dropping the surname Gandhi. He does not exhibit any traits of Mahatma Gandhi,” he added.
Commenting on Rahul Gandhi’s travels, Acharya Pramod Krishnam stated that while traveling is not inherently negative, Gandhi’s actions are quite unusual. He emphasized, “As the leader of the opposition, it is essential for him to be wise, courageous, and sensitive. A strong opposition is crucial for a healthy democracy.”
Acharya Pramod Krishnam also took a jab at Rahul Gandhi, saying he does not need anyone’s advice. “If Rahul Gandhi had taken advice, he would have visited the Ram Temple. If he had listened to advice, he would chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. If he had heeded counsel, he would not have opposed the abrogation of Article 370.”
