Rahul Gandhi Criticizes Government During Raebareli Visit, Highlights Rising Inflation

Mumbai, May 19: Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, launched a sharp critique of the central government’s economic policies and rising inflation during his visit to Raebareli on Tuesday.

While inaugurating a community hall funded by his MP Local Area Development Scheme in Thakurain Kheda village of the Bachrawan assembly constituency, Gandhi pointed out the continuous increase in prices of essential goods, including petrol and diesel, which he claimed is placing a heavy burden on the common people.

Engaging with local residents, Gandhi stated that the average citizen is enduring economic pressure, yet the government is not taking their struggles seriously. He warned that the economic situation may become even more challenging in the future, directly impacting farmers, youth, laborers, and small business owners.

Gandhi emphasized his commitment to fulfilling promises made to the people of Raebareli, asserting that the conditions for small traders and the working class are deteriorating. He urged the government to implement measures that would provide relief.

Earlier, upon arriving in Raebareli, Gandhi visited the Churuwa temple to pay his respects to Lord Hanuman, where a large number of devotees were present for the occasion of Bade Mangal. He took the time to greet the attendees.

On the same day, Gandhi arrived in Lucknow, where he was welcomed by Congress workers at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai and senior leader Pramod Tiwari were also present. He then traveled by road to Raebareli.

During his two-day visit, Gandhi is expected to participate in public dialogues, women’s discussions, and organizational meetings. Political analysts consider this visit crucial for strengthening Congress’s upcoming electoral strategy and organization.
