New Delhi, April 5: Amid ongoing disputes within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha addressed allegations raised against him on Sunday. He took to the social media platform ‘X’ to assert that the “picture is still incomplete,” defending his commitment to Punjab’s issues.
Chadha shared a video on ‘X’ showcasing his efforts to highlight matters concerning Punjab. In his post, he targeted party colleagues who accused him of neglecting Punjab’s issues in Parliament.
He stated, “For my AAP colleagues who felt compelled to claim that Raghav Chadha did not raise Punjab’s issues, this is just a small trailer. The picture is still incomplete. Punjab is not just an issue for me; it is my home, my responsibility, my soil, and my soul.”
Previously, on Saturday, Chadha had also responded to these allegations, stating, “I did not want to speak, but if I remained silent, the repeated lies could start to seem true. Three allegations, zero truth.”
Chadha faced multiple accusations following his removal from the position of Deputy Leader of AAP in the Rajya Sabha. In response, he claimed that a “scripted campaign” was being waged against him. He emphasized in his video message, “The same type of questions and allegations are being raised. This is not a coincidence; it is a calculated conspiracy.”
He also dismissed claims that he did not participate in the opposition’s walkout, asserting, “This is a blatant lie. CCTV cameras are installed everywhere in the Parliament complex; anyone can verify this.”
The controversy within AAP reflects growing tensions in the party. While some members question his performance, Raghav Chadha continues to defend his record, reiterating that his focus has always been on the issues of Punjab and its people, and that will not change.
