Raghav Chadha Accuses Punjab Government of Misusing Agencies

New Delhi, May 5: Raghav Chadha, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party and a member of the Rajya Sabha, has launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Punjab government. He accused the AAP-led Punjab government of misusing state machinery to target dissenting leaders.

Chadha took to the social media platform X to share that he, along with three other MPs, met with the President of India. During this meeting, he informed the President that the Punjab government is taking action against them for exercising their constitutional rights, especially after two-thirds of the MPs decided to join the BJP.

In his post on X, he noted that the party that once accused others of “politics of revenge” is now engaging in the most “toxic form” of such politics. He also mentioned that the President assured him that constitutional rights and democratic decisions should be respected.

Chadha criticized the AAP, stating that the party is now behaving not like a political organization but like an aggrieved former ally, filled with bitterness and a desire for revenge.

While speaking to the media in Delhi, he reiterated serious allegations against the AAP. He said, “I want to tell the Aam Aadmi Party that the actions being taken with the help of the Punjab police are a very dangerous game. Everything was fine when we were with you, and now that we have parted ways, we are corrupt?”

He claimed that the Punjab government is misusing its agencies and public funds. According to him, the AAP is now in the hands of corrupt individuals. He added that while AAP has only one state government and police, the BJP governs in 21 states along with their police forces.

Chadha remarked that the AAP’s Punjab government is merely a “few months old,” suggesting that significant changes in the state’s political landscape may be on the horizon.
