
Chandigarh, May 10: The Punjab government’s Department of Revenue, Rehabilitation, and Disaster Management has announced job openings. An official notification has been released for the recruitment of nine positions on a contractual basis under the Map Scheme for the State Program Management Unit (SPMU). The application process has commenced, and the deadline to apply is set for May 15.
The nine positions available include one Project Coordinator, one Specialist (Land Administration), two Managers (Geospatial Technology), one Programmer (MIS and GIS Developer), one Remote Sensing Analyst, two GIS Technical Experts, and one Data Entry Operator.
Candidates can apply online, and the last date for submission is May 15. Interested and eligible candidates are encouraged to complete their registration forms on the official website before the deadline.
Applicants for the Project Coordinator position must hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Development Studies, Social Work, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science or a related field from a recognized institution. For the Specialist position, retired civil service officers with a minimum of ten years of experience in land administration, revenue, registration, collection, or surveying are eligible to apply.
For the Manager role, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant field like Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Geomatics Engineering, or related subjects, along with a valid GATE qualification. The Programmer position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, while GIS Technical Experts need a degree in Engineering or a Master’s degree in Computer Applications/Geoinformatics or related fields.
The Remote Sensing Analyst position requires a degree in Engineering or Computer Applications/Geoinformatics or related areas, and the Data Entry Operator must have a degree in any stream. All candidates must meet other specified eligibility criteria, skills, and experience requirements.
The maximum age limit for candidates is set between 35 to 45 years, with 70 years for the Specialist position, calculated as of May 15. Selection will be based on screening, shortlisting, interviews, merit lists, academic qualifications, experience, skill tests, and typing tests. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹45,000 to ₹1,50,000.

Next, candidates need to register and log in. They must fill in all the required information in the form and upload the necessary documents in the correct size.
