New Delhi, April 17 : The visit by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and a team of state administration officials to the national capital has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said on Sunday. The Punjab CM and the team were expected to come to Delhi and study the government schools and Mohalla clinics on April 18. Mann, along with state education and health ministers, was supposed to visit Delhi to ‘study improvements’ the AAP regime had brought in, as per an earlier programme released by the party. The party, however, later informed that the visit had been postponed. Sources said the fresh date for the tour will be decided in the next two-three days. While no reason has been given by the party regarding postponing the event, sources said that the fresh incident of communal violence reported in the Northwest Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area has delayed the Delhi tour by Punjab CM and officials. Days ago, opposition parties had alleged the Punjab government is being run through “remote control” from the national capital. Last week, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal met the Punjab chief secretary, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) chief along with other power department officials in Delhi. Mann was not in attendance. Officials said the meeting was called to discuss the AAP’s promise to provide 300 ts of free power in Punjab. ASH GK
