Punjab BJP Demands Security for Family of Deceased Officer

Chandigarh, March 26: The President of the Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party, Sunil Jakhar, has raised concerns regarding the safety of the family of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, a divisional manager of the Warehousing Corporation who recently took his own life.

In a video message, Jakhar highlighted that supporters of former minister Laljit Singh Bhullar are still chanting slogans in favor of his ideology, while the government has failed to provide any security arrangements for Randhawa’s family.

Jakhar pointed out that not a single official has reached out to express condolences to the grieving family. He praised Randhawa’s wife for her integrity and courage in seeking justice, emphasizing her commendable fight against the odds.

Paying tribute to her bravery, Jakhar noted that she has not succumbed to governmental pressure and is fearlessly pursuing justice for her husband.

Furthermore, he stressed the urgency of ensuring the family’s safety, especially in light of the slogans being raised by Bhullar’s supporters and the posts still circulating on Facebook.

Jakhar called upon all Punjabis to set aside their differences and unite in the struggle for justice for an honest officer, urging that those responsible for this tragic loss should face severe consequences. He warned that if Gagandeep Singh Randhawa does not receive justice today, no one in the country or state will stand for honesty tomorrow.

He assured the family that the Bharatiya Janata Party stands firmly with them and will continue to support them until justice is achieved.
