Punjab Anti-Gangster Task Force Arrests Lawrence Gang Member Arzu Bishnoi

Chandigarh, April 25: The Punjab Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has achieved a significant breakthrough by arresting Arzu Bishnoi, a member of the Lawrence gang. During the operation, authorities recovered a .32 caliber pistol and three cartridges from the gangster. This information was shared by Police Director General Gaurav Yadav on X.

According to the DGP, the accused is wanted in a murder case in Rajasthan, for which a cash reward has been announced for his capture. Investigations are ongoing to establish further criminal connections.

Previously, the AGTF had dismantled a gang operated by foreign gangsters, arresting four individuals and seizing two foreign .30 caliber pistols along with eight cartridges. The arrested suspects were identified as Arman Singh from Ugana village, Chirag from Nalas Khurd village, Ravinder Singh alias Rahul from Nalas Kalan village, and Akshay alias Prince from Dhammoli village, all in Patiala.

The DGP noted that one of the suspects was involved in the murder of the owner of the ‘Wear Well’ showroom in Abohar in July 2025. Sharing operational details, Additional Director General (AGTF) Pramod Ban mentioned that a special team was formed upon receiving credible information about the movement of four members of this module towards Mohali via the Ambala-Chandigarh highway. Special checkpoints were established at various locations along the highway. The police team apprehended the suspects near the Janetpur link road and seized two foreign pistols and ammunition.

The DGP emphasized the police’s commitment to dismantling the gangster network and ensuring peace and security throughout Punjab.
