Mumbai, May 2: Actor Pulkit Samrat is currently in the spotlight for his role in the web series ‘Glory.’ In this series, he portrays a boxer and recently shared that he drew inspiration from the legendary Mary Kom for his character.
Pulkit emphasized that true strength lies in facing challenges while maintaining humility. He cited Mary Kom as an example, stating, “It’s impossible to discuss boxing without mentioning Mary Kom. Being a six-time world champion is no small feat. Many athletes give their all just to qualify, yet she has won this title six times.”
He stressed that age, gender, or societal expectations should never hinder success. “Mary Kom has proven to everyone that with strong intentions, no boundary can stop you. The only limits are those you set for yourself,” he remarked.
Pulkit also shared his thoughts on the concept of an ‘alpha’ personality. He believes that a true ‘alpha’ is not one who dominates but one who empathizes and uplifts others, paving the way for collective progress. “In my view, being an alpha means bringing everyone along. You should appreciate others, listen patiently, and have the courage to bend when necessary. These traits define a superior personality and a true alpha,” he added.
Set against the backdrop of Haryana, ‘Glory’ is a sports-drama and crime thriller that began streaming on Netflix on May 1. The series explores the corruption hidden in the boxing world, familial conflicts, and tales of revenge. Pulkit Samrat takes on the lead role of a professional boxer, showcasing a stark contrast to his previous romantic image.
Directed by Karan Anshuman, the series also features Divyendu Sharma and Suvinder Vicky in prominent roles.
