Gangtok, Mar 19 : Chief Minister PS Tamang, ĺaunched ‘Gramin Sanchar Abhiyan’, at Mintogang, here on Saturday. Minister of Information LN Sharma and advisor V. Tamling were also present for the launching ceremony. At the behest of the Chief Minister, Sikkim’s rural areas, which have little Internet access, will be connected to Common Centres, Fair Price Shops, Milk Collection Centres and similar places where the public gathers in rural areas. To ensure maximum dissemination of information to rural people, in particular about government schemes and programs, this is being done.
