As the nation celebrated 75 years of independence, he envisioned making this occasion a platform for a developed India, reviving the essence of the country that embodies immortal ideas.

He called for the celebration to be named “Amrit Mahotsav,” which has since evolved into a series of incredible journeys linked to this resolution. He spoke of the importance of linking spiritual growth with personal advancement and using individual progress as a means for national development.

The Prime Minister noted that Swami Chinmayananda’s mission was to instill pride in Indians regarding their heritage. His efforts to disseminate knowledge from scriptures to the general populace are now bearing fruit, with countless youths serving as cultural ambassadors for India. These young individuals are transmitting Indian values to the next generation. Modi regarded this contribution as a significant chapter in India’s cultural and spiritual renaissance, recalling the special coin he released in 2015 in memory of the Swami, affirming his life as a remarkable blend of knowledge, action, and devotion.

He concluded by reflecting on the blessings from Swami Sivananda, emphasizing that Chinmayananda lived his life with that spirit. His words left a lasting impression on many, ensuring that the missions of great individuals continue to thrive.
