Currently, the Mahabodhi Express is the main train operating between Gaya and Delhi. With the launch of the new Amrit Bharat Express, people from Gaya and surrounding districts will benefit from a direct and faster rail service. This modern train is equipped with advanced facilities, making the journey between the Magadh region and Delhi more comfortable. According to the Railway Board, the train will run from Gaya every Sunday and Thursday, and from Delhi every Monday and Friday. It will depart from Gaya at 4:30 pm and reach Delhi at 8:55 am the next day. From Delhi, it will leave at 3:00 pm and arrive in Gaya at 5:45 am the following day.

Major stops for the Amrit Bharat Express include Anugrah Narayan Road, Dehri-on-Sone, Sasaram, Bhabhua Road, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Prayagraj (Subedarganj), Kanpur (Govindpuri), Tundla, Ghaziabad, and Delhi. The train from Delhi to Gaya will also halt at these stations. Designed with passengers’ convenience in mind, the train offers better lighting, mobile charging points, comfortable seating, and clean coaches, as part of the Amrit Bharat rake.

The second major gift is the launch of the new fast MEMU train (03626) between Koderma and Vaishali. Until now, there was no direct train service from Gaya to Vaishali; passengers had to travel to Patna and change trains. This new service will provide direct connectivity. The train will operate six days a week (except Monday). From Koderma, it will depart at 9:25 pm, passing through Gurpa, Gaya, Nalanda, Rajgir, Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, Rajendra Nagar, Patliputra, Hajipur, and Sonpur, before reaching Vaishali in the morning. On the return, the train will depart Vaishali at night and arrive in Koderma the next morning.

This fast MEMU train will stop at 14 major stations: Hajipur, Sonpur, Patna, Rajendra Nagar, Patliputra, Fatuha, Bakhtiyarpur, Bihar Sharif, Nalanda, Rajgir, Imlaiya, Gaya, Gurpa, and Koderma. The train will be especially beneficial for daily commuters, students, and traders. Important religious and educational centres like Nalanda and Rajgir will now be directly connected to Jharkhand.

Among the projects inaugurated and launched by the Prime Minister are a 660 MW power project built at Buxar at a cost of ₹6,880 crore, the four-lane upgrade of the Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama section of NH-31 at an estimated cost of ₹1,900 crore, the inauguration of the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Muzaffarpur, and urban infrastructure projects worth around ₹1,260 crore.

The event was attended by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and leaders of the NDA. During the event, the Chief Minister also addressed the gathering, stating that the Bihar government is continuously working to provide relief to the people. In 2018, electricity reached every household, and now, from August, a scheme has been implemented to provide 125 units of free electricity. Nitish Kumar said this will provide direct relief to the public and further empower the people of the state.
