Posters Demand Chirag Paswan as Next Chief Minister in Patna

Patna, March 9: Following Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s nomination for the Rajya Sabha, posters demanding Chirag Paswan as the next Chief Minister appeared on the streets of Patna. These posters were put up by Imam Ghazali, the district president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas).

The posters depicted Chirag Paswan wearing a crown, with slogans stating that he should be crowned for Bihar’s golden era to begin. They claimed that Modi has blessed him and that Chirag will emerge as Bihar’s new leader, emphasizing the need for a young Chief Minister. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is expected to form the government, with Chirag as Chief Minister.

This is not the first time party supporters have called for Chirag Paswan to lead Bihar. Previously, Arun Bharti, a Member of Parliament from Jamui and Chirag’s brother-in-law, expressed his desire to see Chirag in a leadership role. However, he clarified that the final decision regarding the Chief Ministerial candidate would be made by the NDA.

Chirag’s mother, Rajkumari Devi, has also publicly expressed her wish to see him as Chief Minister. Speaking to the media, she stated that Chirag would perform better than Nitish Kumar in the role. She urged the public to support her son.

After Nitish Kumar’s Rajya Sabha nomination, discussions about potential successors have intensified in political circles. Speculation is also rife about the possibility of appointing a woman as Chief Minister in the state.

Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, has entered politics, joining the Janata Dal (United) on Sunday. Following his entry, some party workers have called for his name to be considered for the Chief Minister position. With Chirag Paswan’s name now added to this list, the debate over Bihar’s next Chief Minister has gained momentum.
