Deoria, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : In Deoria, on September 5, Sapa MP Ramashankar Vidyarthi criticized the Uttar Pradesh government for its recent actions regarding a mosque in Saharanpur. He claimed that such measures are attempts to divert public attention from pressing issues like inflation.
Speaking to a news agency, Vidyarthi emphasized that just as Hindus care about their temples, Muslims are equally concerned about their mosques. He argued that the government is engaging in Hindu-Muslim politics to distract from inflation and corruption. “The beauty of our country is that Janmashtami is celebrated in every police station. Yet, when Muslims go to pray at their mosques, bulldozers are brought in,” he said.
Vidyarthi also pointed out the restrictions imposed on Muslims during their festivals, mentioning that the government has asked for the height of Tazias to be reduced and has placed limitations on prayers.
He further noted that Iqra Hasan from Saharanpur, who is involved in politics, is responsible for protecting the mosque. He warned that the state government’s oppressive actions would not go unnoticed and suggested that it is on the verge of downfall due to its divisive tactics.
Additionally, Vidyarthi took a jab at UP Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar for his comments about Ram and Krishna, stating that even his department officials do not heed his words. He highlighted that while Rajbhar’s department is reportedly mismanaged, Akhilesh Yadav has successfully constructed a grand temple in Etawah.
Vidyarthi concluded by criticizing those who remain silent about the destruction of Hindu temples in West Bengal and Pakistan, urging them not to undermine the spirit of brotherhood in India.
