Chandigarh, May 8: The political atmosphere in Punjab is currently charged with controversy. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is under fire from the opposition due to a series of emerging disputes. Initially, the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) actions related to a case in Mohali and Chandigarh made headlines. Now, a new issue from Ludhiana has intensified political debates. In this context, senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia has leveled serious allegations against the AAP.
The case pertains to Ludhiana, where AAP MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi’s close associate faces grave accusations. It is alleged that this individual deceived two young men by promising them jobs in the municipal corporation, resulting in a fraud of approximately ₹1.70 lakh. These young men were previously employed at a de-addiction center and a civil hospital, seeking better job opportunities. During this time, they were lured with the promise of government jobs and money was taken from them.
Bikram Singh Majithia took to the social media platform X to post several pictures, stating, “Show me your company, and I will tell you who you are—this statement perfectly fits the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party.”
Majithia remarked, “Yesterday, during the ED raid related to the Mohali Western Court, Punjab witnessed ‘a rain of notes’ for the first time, with Aman Arora’s name mentioned by the ED. Yet, Aman Arora claims he has no connection to this matter.”
He further commented, “Nikhil Sabharwal, linked to this case, has been seen celebrating birthdays with AAP MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi for the past four years. The photos clearly show them feeding each other cake, indicating their close connection. Every year, they are seen hugging and exchanging birthday wishes.”
Majithia added, “This same Nikhil Sabharwal was allegedly caught taking ₹1.7 lakh under the pretense of securing a job at a de-addiction center. Photos also show him working from Ashok Parashar Pappi’s office. Yet, Pappi now claims, ‘He lives near my house, but I don’t know him.’ Incredible! How can someone who celebrated birthdays together for years and allegedly worked from the office suddenly become a ‘stranger’? Punjab is asking: Was this merely friendship, or is there a larger game at play under political protection?”
