New Delhi, May 13: Political tensions are escalating in India over the NEET exam controversy and comments made in Tamil Nadu regarding ‘Sanatan’. BJP leaders have launched sharp attacks on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Tamil Nadu’s opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin. Meanwhile, students are increasingly anxious about the possibility of the NEET exam being canceled.
BJP spokesperson Ajay Alok responded to Rahul Gandhi’s statements, suggesting that his comments do not warrant serious attention. He sarcastically remarked, “Rahul Gandhi doesn’t even know the full form of NEET. He has remained like a third-grade student throughout his life, holding a degree from an unknown college.”
In Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, BJP spokesperson Syed Bhasha expressed concern over the NEET exam controversy. He noted that there has been significant discussion nationwide about the NEET exam over the past three days. Approximately three lakh students, both in India and abroad, had prepared rigorously for this exam. It was conducted uniformly across the country, with nearly 70 percent of the questions based on model papers. However, reports of its potential cancellation have placed students under considerable stress.
Additionally, BJP has strongly opposed Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks regarding ‘Sanatan Dharma’. Ajay Alok stated, “Sanatan was Sanatan before, is Sanatan today, and will always be Sanatan.” He accused Udhayanidhi Stalin of deliberately making statements about Sanatan to avoid legal repercussions while speaking in the assembly.
BJP leaders argue that such controversial statements are increasing public discontent in Tamil Nadu politics.
