Jamui, September 22 (Daily Kiran) : In Jamui, Bihar, political tensions have escalated following a disturbing incident involving the molestation of a minor girl. Since the news broke, opposition leaders, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, have been vocal in their criticism of the ruling Samrat Chaudhary government.
Bihar BJP president Sanjay Sarawagi condemned the incident, stating that such acts are unacceptable in a civilized society. He noted that once the police were informed, they promptly registered an FIR and arrested three individuals. The police are actively pursuing the main suspect, and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to handle the case.
Sarawagi emphasized, “Such incidents are completely intolerable. Only a mentally deranged person could commit such acts. We must condemn this behavior, and the police acted swiftly once they received the information. They will apprehend the main suspect soon.”
In response to Tejashwi Yadav’s tweets, Sarawagi accused the opposition of harboring criminals during their tenure, asserting that various criminal activities flourished under their governance. He assured that the main suspect would be captured, leaving no room for the opposition to hide their faces.
Bihar’s Minister Ramkripal Yadav also weighed in on the incident, describing it as unfortunate and condemnable. He stated that the government is taking the matter seriously and that strict action will be taken against all responsible parties. The accused will face charges under the POCSO Act, and severe penalties will be imposed.
Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s comments on the issue, Yadav advised him against politicizing the matter. He urged Gandhi to focus on the states where his party is in power, suggesting that they have been losing control and should reflect on their governance, especially regarding law and order issues.
The Jamui case continues to draw significant political attention, with leaders from various parties calling for justice and accountability.
