Police Arrest Two Robbers in New Delhi, Recover Stolen Gold Chain and Motorcycle

New Delhi, May 5: The police team from the Madhu Vihar police station in East Delhi has achieved a significant success by arresting two notorious robbers. They recovered a stolen gold-like chain and a motorcycle from the suspects.

On May 3, the police received an emergency call regarding a chain-snatching incident near the BSES office in front of Singla Sweets in the Madhu Vihar area. Upon receiving the call, the police team promptly arrived at the scene. At that moment, patrolling officers spotted two suspicious individuals fleeing on a motorcycle. The police team pursued them and apprehended them shortly after.

During the search following their arrest, the stolen chain was recovered from the suspects. Additionally, the motorcycle they were using was found to be stolen as well. Investigations revealed that this motorcycle was linked to an e-FIR registered at the Mandawali police station.

The police identified the two suspects as Shivam, also known as Bachkana, and Kunal, both residents of West Vinod Nagar, aged 23. According to the police, both individuals are habitual offenders and have been involved in several criminal cases in the past.

During interrogation, they confessed to committing multiple chain-snatching incidents recently in the Madhu Vihar and Pandav Nagar areas. The police stated that this operation was a result of the proactive measures taken by a special team formed to curb rising crime in the area.

Officials noted that both suspects have previously been involved in various cases of theft, snatching, and robbery. The police managed to apprehend them due to continuous surveillance and swift action. Both suspects have been arrested, and further investigations are underway. The police are also working to determine if there are additional members involved in this gang and the extent of their criminal activities.
