Police and Health Department Uncover Fake Product Factory in Sonipat

Sonipat, April 24: A joint operation by the police and health department has led to the discovery of a factory producing counterfeit goods in Sonipat, Haryana. The Kundli police and health department raided an illegal facility in the fields of village Aterna, where fake Eno and other products were being manufactured.

According to reports, this factory had been operating secretly for a long time, endangering public health. During the raid, the team seized thousands of packets of counterfeit Eno and other suspicious items. Preliminary investigations revealed that these products were being produced without any standard or quality checks.

The illegal operation was reportedly run by an individual named Amarjeet Dahiya, who is currently on the run. The Kundli police have filed a case against the accused under various sections and are actively pursuing his arrest.

The health department team collected samples of the seized Eno and other products for laboratory analysis. Officials stated that further action would be taken based on the test results. According to police officials, such illegal factories not only violate the law but also pose serious risks to public safety. The administration has urged the public to report any suspicious activities to the police promptly, to prevent such illegal operations.

In a related incident, the Murthal police uncovered a unit producing counterfeit Harpic toilet cleaner, seizing a large quantity of finished goods. Empty bottles, caps, and labels were also confiscated. The seized products were transported to the police station in three trucks. Pappu Kumar Sharma from the Gurugram-based company Check IP Solutions Pvt Ltd filed a complaint with the Murthal police, stating that their company is an investigative firm for Reckitt Benckiser, the manufacturer of Harpic toilet cleaner. Following the complaint, police raided the specified location and found various counterfeit Harpic products being manufactured.
