PM Modi to launch 5G service in the country today

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch 5G service in the country today (Saturday). With the introduction of 5G service in the nation, a new era of communication revolution will start. This will facilitate seamless coverage, high data rate, low latency and highly reliable communication system. The Prime Minister will launch the 5G services at the inauguration ceremony of the 6th edition of India Mobile Congress 2022 to be held at Pragati Maidan at 10 am. This Congress will conclude on October 04.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, he will launch 5G services at 10 am on Saturday at a program organized at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. Three major telecom operators of the country will also be present on the occasion. Prime Minister Modi will also witness a demonstration of the working of 5G services from the underground tunnel of the upcoming Metro station in Delhi’s Dwarka Sector 25 during the launch of the High Speed Mobile Internet facility.

Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio have announced the launch of 5G mobile service in Prime Minister Modi’s Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi and Ahmedabad in Gujarat’s home state on Saturday. The Chief Ministers of the state in both the states will be present at these places.

During the 5G launch today, Reliance Jio will connect a teacher from a Mumbai school with students from three different locations in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Odisha. It will demonstrate how 5G will facilitate education by bringing teachers closer to students, bridging the physical distance between them. It will also showcase the power of Augmented Reality on screen.
