PM Modi Shares Devotional Hymn for Maa Kalratri on Seventh Day of Navratri

On the seventh day of Navratri, PM Modi shared a hymn dedicated to Maa Kalratri, praying for prosperity and new energy.

New Delhi, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to Maa Kalratri on the seventh day of Navratri by sharing a devotional hymn on the social media platform X. The hymn, linked via YouTube, celebrates the goddess’s virtues and significance.

In his post, PM Modi stated, “Today is a special day for the worship of Maa Kalratri during Navratri. May her blessings illuminate everyone’s life with new energy and confidence. I pray for prosperity for all through the divine grace of the goddess.”

The hymn he shared is performed by Jyotirmayi Nayak and Antara Chakraborty, titled “Durga Puja Special.” It extols the various forms of Goddess Durga, highlighting her divine qualities.

On this day of the Sharadiya Navratri festival, devotees are honoring Maa Kalratri, the seventh form of the divine feminine. She is depicted with a dark complexion, open hair, and adorned with a necklace of skulls that shines like electricity. Her three eyes are round and radiant, constantly emitting flames. Even her breath is said to release fierce fire.

Maa Kalratri is portrayed with four arms; she holds a sword in her left hand while her right hands are in the Abhay (fear-dispelling) and Varada (blessing) mudras. Her vehicle is a donkey. Although her appearance is fierce and terrifying, she is known to bless her devotees with auspicious results, earning her the name “Shubhankari.”

Maa Kalratri has a fondness for jaggery, and offering it pleases her, alleviating her devotees’ troubles. This night is considered particularly significant for tantrics, yogis, and spiritual seekers, as worshiping her instills unwavering courage, strength, and mental peace in her followers.
