Hyderabad, May 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a large public gathering in Hyderabad on Sunday, stating that just as the BJP achieved victory in West Bengal, he is hearing a unified sentiment in Telangana: “This time, the BJP will form the government in Telangana.”
PM Modi highlighted the BJP’s recent successes, noting that after 75 years of independence, the party has secured a hat-trick in Assam and returned to power in Puducherry. He expressed his awareness of the sentiments among the people of Telangana, who are echoing the call for a BJP government.
He remarked, “On May 9, I was in Bengal, where for the first time, a BJP Chief Minister took the oath of office. The BJP has formed a government in Bengal with a significant majority, and I can see the enthusiasm for this historic victory reflected here in Telangana. Every BJP worker here is filled with energy. Across the nation, public support for the BJP is continuously growing, as citizens repeatedly endorse our development model.”
PM Modi emphasized that elections occur annually in various states, with some parties winning and others losing. He noted that the celebration surrounding the BJP’s victory in Bengal is unprecedented and has garnered global attention. This is not merely a political win; it signifies the defeat of a political culture that had kept the people of Bengal in chains.
He criticized the Congress party for fostering corruption and dynastic politics, claiming that the TMC adopted the worst practices from both Congress and the Left. According to Modi, the TMC developed a dangerous model of governance that shackled Bengal. With the recent electoral outcome, the people of Bengal have triumphed over this oppressive model, leading to celebrations nationwide. It feels as if the people of Bengal are finally breathing freely after years of oppression.
Once considered a marginal party from the south to the northeast, the BJP is now proving that when ideas are for the nation, no boundaries can contain their momentum.
