PM Modi Pays Tribute to Revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad on His Martyrdom Day

New Delhi, February 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid homage to the revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad on his martyrdom day. He emphasized that the unwavering resolve against injustice is true valor, as demonstrated by the immortal revolutionary’s life.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, PM Modi stated, “On the martyrdom day of the brave son of Mother India, Chandrashekhar Azad, I offer my respectful tribute. He dedicated everything to liberate Mother India from the shackles of slavery, and he will always be remembered for this.”

In another post, he wrote, “The life of the immortal revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad teaches us that steadfastness against injustice is true valor. His sacrifice for the motherland will continue to inspire every generation of our country.”

On this occasion, PM Modi also shared a Sanskrit couplet, stating, “न हि शौर्यात्परं किञ्चित् त्रिषु लोकेषु विद्यते. शूरः सर्वं पालयति सर्वं शूरे प्रतिष्ठितम्.”

This couplet conveys that “there is no greater quality than valor in all three worlds. Valor is the foundational strength that nurtures and protects the universe. The existence of all worlds is rooted in the valor of the brave.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah remarked in a post on ‘X’, “Chandrashekhar Azad fought valiantly against British rule, singing ‘Vande Mataram’ until his last breath. Whether it was the Kakori train action, the formation of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA), or the establishment of a robust organization for revolutionaries, every moment of Azad’s life was dedicated to freedom. Remembering his sacrifice fills me with a sense of patriotism. I humbly pay my respects to the great revolutionary, the indomitable Chandrashekhar Azad on his death anniversary.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared Azad’s words, “We will face the enemy’s bullets; we have been free, and we will remain free.” He added, “On the martyrdom day of the great revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad, who sacrificed his life on the altar of the motherland, I offer my humble tribute. His sacrifice and radiant personality will continue to inspire service to the nation and devotion to Mother India for generations to come.”
